The three plans
The direct answer: choose by how many roles and regions you hire for, and how much content and campaign work you need each month.
| Plan | Month-to-month | Billed annually | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | $1,999/month | $1,499/month | The core marketing a settled trades company needs; for recruiting, usually one or two roles |
| Elite | $3,999/month | $2,999/month | Wider multi-channel work, and half price on any Trades.Agency website design package |
| Enterprise | $7,999/month | $5,999/month | Your own dedicated marketing team, priority support, and a website of any package designed and built at no charge |
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Full plan details are on the Trades.Agency pricing page. For recruiting work, the scope of each plan, such as which of our services are included and how many roles and regions, is written into your proposal before you commit.
What drives the cost of recruiting marketing
Four things decide which plan makes sense:
- Number of roles. One apprentice opening is a small campaign. Hiring journeypersons, apprentices and a lead hand at once needs separate ads, messages and tracking for each.
- Number of regions. Each region needs its own targeting and often its own message. A company hiring in the Fraser Valley and the Okanagan is running two campaigns.
- Content needs. Crew photo and video content involves shoot days, editing and consent paperwork.
- Your starting point. A company with no careers page and no tracking needs more setup than one with a working website and a business text line.
Ad spend is the other half of the budget. It depends on the role and the region, and we'll recommend a figure in the proposal, stated separately.
Check the numbers against an empty seat
Before choosing a plan, compare it with what the vacancy costs. Use your own figures; these are placeholders.
Suppose one additional crew would produce $5,000 of gross margin a month, and you'd budget $2,000 a month in ad spend alongside a $1,999 plan. That is about $4,000 a month. If the campaign fills the seat within three months, you've spent about $12,000 to recover roughly $60,000 of yearly margin, before counting the apprentices a new journeyperson lets you supervise. If it takes nine months, the case is weaker, which is why we review cost per qualified applicant monthly and change course early.
The hiring-funnel guide shows how to calculate this properly for your business.
How to choose
- Growth suits a single-location employer hiring for one or two roles at a time, usually starting with employer brand and applicant response.
- Elite suits companies hiring across several roles or two regions, with campaigns and some crew content, or that also need a better website.
- Enterprise suits larger employers with continuous hiring across several regions who want a dedicated team and a new website built.
If you're unsure, start smaller. Plans are month-to-month, and moving up once the first service is working is simple.
What isn't in the plan fee
To keep budgets honest, here is what sits outside the plan price: advertising spend on platforms such as paid social and search, job-board posting fees, and any third-party software you decide to use, such as an applicant tracking tool. We recommend keeping those accounts in your company's name, so the history stays with you.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a long-term contract?
No. You can stay month-to-month for as long as you like and leave on 30 days' notice. Annual billing is optional and lowers the monthly price.
Is ad spend included?
No. Job-board fees and ad spend are paid directly to the platforms, ideally on accounts in your name. Your proposal states our recommended spend separately from the plan fee.
Do prices include GST?
No. BC employers pay in Canadian dollars and add 5% GST, plus provincial sales tax only where it applies to the service.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The first 30 minutes are free for eligible trades businesses, and that conversation carries no obligation to buy a plan.
Is this priced like a staffing agency?
No. We are not a staffing agency and our plans are monthly marketing plans, not placement arrangements. The fee and every other term are confirmed in writing in your proposal.
